Dear Librarians in Training,

Iapos;m just your typical new applicant panicking over GPA requirements. The school Iapos;m applying to (McGill) requires either "Academic standing of at least a B, or second class, upper division, or CPGA of 3.0 out of 4.0".

Can anyone help me translate this? CPGA is your cummulative gpa and I think apos;upper divisionapos; is your 300/400 level classes (similar to "graduating gpa") but Iapos;m not sure about apos;2nd classapos;.

Also, my undergraduate alma mater calculates GPA differently than McGill. I went to a Canadian university that calculated out of 9.0. A University of Victoria B is a 5.0 (2.2 out of 4.0). A McGill B is a 3.0 on the 4.0 scale. Should I address this in my Statement of Purpose or leave Admissions to handle the conversion? My transcript lists letter grades and GPA.

My main concern is not qualifying. My cumulative GPA is 2.67. My graduating GPA is a 3.03. I will be addressing this in my SOP in a short note about a chronic illness in my first two years and through excellent academic reference letters. Can anyone speak to McGillapos;s admission policies? I have my fingers crossed the experience (3 years as a paraprofessional plus an archiving internship) with outweigh my grades.

Itapos;s been 31 weeks since we last posted??

RIDICULOUS

Whatapos;s also ridiculous is that I gave Kira $5 and my mug for hot chocolate almost 20 minutes ago.� No sign of change, chocolate or Kira.� Granted, weapos;re at work and we have things to do.� Sheapos;s a tram operator, operating empty trams and Iapos;m in Guest Services, in the Ticket Centre, selling tickets to NO ONE AT ALL.

I take it all back.� Kira approaches.� I have $2.57 in change, hot chocolate with whip and chocolate drizzle and a Kira to talk to.�But they didnapos;t wash my lid, which still tastes of ick-tastic Raspberry Mocha.� It was meant to be a surprise drink from the loving Starbucks Baristas, but alas� It was icky.� And it cost me money.� I want my money back.� Instead of demanding a new drink, I took it gratefully and then dumped it out the tram window about 10 minutes later.� It really was that icky.� I like raspberry, and I like mocha.� JUST NOT TOGETHER


Iapos;m not sure whatapos;s happened in the last 31 weeks... Ummm.... Fell in love, had my heart smashed to bits, fell in love again and thatapos;s going swell.� Except for the fact that he plays Warcraft.� That pisses me off.� I hate Warcraft.� I hate it.� With a burning passion that resides deep within my soul, sharing an apartment for two with my love for my boyfriend.�� I make myself sick sometimes.

Iapos;ve moved out on my own, first with a crazy roommate who turned out to be insane-crazy, not fun-crazy and now Iapos;m in a 1 bedroom basement suite belonging to my grade 9 LAC teacher.� (Thatapos;s Learning Assistance Centre, for those of you who donapos;t know.� Itapos;s a class you take in high school or whatever if you have a learning disability.� Like dyslexia or ADD.)� Good times.

I finally left Canadian Tire and I miss some of the people I worked with.� Some, not all.� Just some.� And now I work at Grouse Mountain, the Peak of Vancouver, and I adore the people I work with.� Itapos;s nice to work with people who actually pull their own weight.

Thatapos;s it for now, I guess.... Sorry itapos;s not as funny as most.� Todayapos;s not a funny day, I guess.

Hello all So the issue is, I have a YI, I was using the three day monistat treatment. Just last night though, the last night of my treatment, I pulled an all-nighter to finish writing a paper. All the same, I inserted the ovule, hoping that it would still get the general effect, even though it wouldnapos;t be in my for a long time. The thing is, it all came out pretty quickly, seeing as I was going to the washroom tons due to caffeine. Today, I am still itchy and uncomfortable. Do I need to start the treatment all over again (I really donapos;t want to spend another $20..but I probably have no other choice)? Or, I think there is a Monistat 1 (I could be wrong) but would that be effective enough to finish the job? Or should I get another 3 day pack just to make sure?

So, itapos;s final. Sansa goes to her new home later on today at about 3pm. She will be going with an experienced bottle feeder, stay at home mom who has a couple of kids. I "answered their prayers". I guess there was a reason I had taken her in and that I had cruised Craigslist last night on a whim, thinking about how to adopt her out. These folks are also from Ventura County, which is just random serendipity. So, Sansa gets to go be a spoiled only house cat out in The Dalles, with a family with way more time than I have. She got a bath this morning. Now my head hurts and my eyes hurt and I am going to bed Goodnight
